but I wasn't. I went out to check on the outside kitties and when I rounded the corner in the pouring rain I thought I saw a very large toad hopping along behind the trash cans. It took me a second to realize it was a little stripey kitten. She was soaked to the bone and crying out for her mama that hasn't been around in a couple of days. You can guess the rest of the story.
