I make it a point to clean out the dust in my computer every few months, and you should, too! Computers last longer and perform better when they are cooler. Dust makes fans work harder to turn to move the air to keep your computer cool. That will make parts fail prematurely and you don't want that, do you?
Here's just three months of dust collected on my main heat sink and fan.
It took about 5 minutes, two screwdrivers, and a can of spray air to get rid of all that and keep this computer running cooler, quieter, and hopefully longer.
