Today, thirteen years ago, I married the love of my life. I met her in November of 1993 at a mutual friend's house and we fell in love at first sight. I went home that night and told my mom that I had met the girl I was going to marry.

The part of the ceremony that stands out the most to me is when Ami came into the back door of the church I felt really heavy. My feet felt like I had just had weights added to my shoulders. I think what that meant was I felt grounded for the first time in my life. It was as if I had been a tumble weed and now I had real roots and a family of my own, not just being a part of my father's and mother's family.

This is our cake topper that we keep on top of our china hutch.

That is so sweet. I never knew that about what you felt at the altar. We are a family forever and I will love you forever. Happy Anniversary, my love!
